Marschak Interaction Method (MIM) Assessment
We understand that the parent-child relationship is at the heart of a child's emotional well-being. The Marschak Interaction Method (MIM) is a structured, play-based assessment that helps us observe and understand the dynamics between caregivers and their children.
Through a series of guided activities, the MIM allows us to assess key aspects of the relationship, including:
Nurture: The ways in which comfort and care are provided and accepted.
Structure: How guidance and boundaries are established and received.
Engagement: The level of emotional connection and responsiveness.
Challenge: The parent's ability to foster growth and child's ability to tolerate stressors.
By identifying both strengths and areas for growth in these domains, we can tailor interventions that enhance the parent-child bond and support the child's development.
What to Expect
The MIM Assessment process includes:
Initial Parent/Caregiver Session: A meeting to gather background information and discuss concerns.
Observation Session: A video-recorded session where the caregiver and child engage in structured activities.
Feedback Session: A review of the observations, discussing insights and recommendations for strengthening the relationship.
Rate: $700
